Marriage holds a couple together lifelong. While the marriage is an important event in every person's life. The traditions followed during the days of marriage, the joy created by the guests. Likewise, the incidents which take place during those days are the sweet memories for a lifetime. We have seen many types of marriage traditions in India. But we do not know more about the marriage traditions and culture of foreign countries. I have written you top 10 most strange traditions followed during marriages in foreign countries.

Traditions Followed During Marriages

Mostly, the women struggles a lot to be slim. When their marriage date is nearing, they will follow the diet and tries all the tips to appear slim in their marriage. But in that country, it will happen exactly reverse. In the country Mauritania, prior few months, all types of foods will be served to make the bride obese because they believe that the obese girl will bring good luck and their married life will go smooth and happily.

If you listen to a strange marriage tradition of the Daur people in China you will get goosebumps because the bride and groom are required to make a baby chick into two prices with hands before their marriage. They then inspect the chick's liver. If it's a good liver, they can get ready for the wedding. If not, they need to kill even more chicks until they find a good one.

Generally, we will arrange the marriages at some temples or at church or else at the beautifully decorated wedding halls. But in Russia, most of the weddings will be arranged at the grave it seems. That too, the couple would get married standing beside the grave of unknown soldiers of that country. Beyond that, they will also take photos standing beside them it seems.

Generally, even if a person does not eat for two to three days he will go to the bathroom. If he does not go like that he will suffer from various problems along with the hunger. But in Indonesia, there is a strange tradition. According to that tradition, the married couples are forbidden from going out of the house. They should not even go to the bathroom for those three days it seems. They believe that if they do like this they could give birth to the healthy babies it seems.

In India, after the weddings.While sending off the bride, it is a very common scene in which the bride and her parents will cry. But crying like this is a tradition in China. But that is not just for an hour or a day. They have to cry for a month it seems. In the case of the people of a community in China, this crying scene starts at the bride's house from a month before the wedding. First, the bride has to cry for an hour daily. After 10 days, mother of the bride will join this crying program. Later, one by one all the women in that house will be crying till the marriage date like this.

The strange marriage of the Maasai tribe of Kenya. These tribes will shave bride's head bald a day before the marriage. The father of the bride spits on the head and breast of that girl before going to the marriage. After this, they perform the marriage. Immediately after the marriage, that bride goes to her mother-in-law's house without turning back. After going there, her husband will stay away from her for two days. During these two days, her mother-in-law will be shaving the head of the bride for an hour to make it smooth it seems.

The men would feel very happy to get married. But the men in South Korea would die out of fear because there, immediately after getting married, they will take away the groom and lay him on the ground. They tie his feet together and then lift his legs off the ground. They will beat the groom’s feet with a stick or dried yellow corvina for some time it seems. Their main intention behind this tradition is they can live bold like this even when they come across so many problems in their future.

Generally, we feel shy to hold our wife tight in front of everyone. And if it is that program, we will lock the doors tightly. But no need to see the thing which used to done by some of the African tribes. Enough if you hear about that. We feel shy. That is, after the marriage, they will send bride and groom into the room during the first night. They will also send a woman inside the room along with them it seems. That woman will guide them while doing that.

You might not have seen such a worst marriage in the world. We have to go France to see this nasty tradition. After the wedding ceremony is complete, carrying all of the leftovers food and liquor in the marriage feast and place that food in the toilet of the house in which the bride and groom would stay. Then they will ask them to eat that food. All the guest will stay there until they eat the whole food. 

In Romania, most of the marriages will happen forcibly it seems because there they have the tradition that a boy should marry a girl by kidnapping her who is young enough to get married. There is a twist in this i.e. after kidnapping the girl. Without getting caught by her parents, Without allowing her to escape. By frightening or requesting her, he must retain her with him for two days. After passing two days, they will get her married to him officially. As many of them opposed this ritual practice these days. This type of weddings has been reduced a little.
